Unprecedented, Multi-Purpose Performance in all Ultrasound Applications
The ProSound Alpha 6, the next generation of compact colour ultrasound systems, is multi-purpose, provides unprecedented performance in all ultrasound applications, is fully upgradable and easy-to-use.
The ProSound Alpha 6 incorporates the benefits of the high end ProSound Alpha series and building on the ProSound technology strengths, it offers superior performance in one compact, easy-to-use, economic and environmental system. The ProSound Alpha 6 addresses all diagnostic applications in one system, a marked difference to other ultrasound systems. The system supports a full range of application-specific probes and software, designed to target all specialist diagnostic areas in General Imaging, Cardiovascular, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Internal Medicine. The ProSound Alpha 6 high power processor allows a number of different imaging modes previously seen only in high end systems, without compromise on image quality and colour Doppler sensitivity.
The compact, ergonomic design of the ProSound Alpha 6 features a large, programmable touch screen panel for quick access to frequently used controls. A height adjustable operation panel and swivel LCD monitor provides ease of use to the examiner. Its small footprint and light weight offers outstanding mobility. With reduced power consumption, the ProSound Alpha 6 is also designed to be economically and environmentally friendly.

High-performance LCD Monitor
The characteristics of the high-quality LCD monitor are adjusted to optimize diagnostic viewing of ultrasound images.
Extended Pure Harmonic Detection (ExPHD)
Harmonic Echo using phase shift is equipped as standard, which has been available only on higher models. Multiple echoes and side lobes are greatly reduced for clear and easy-to-observe images, enhancing patient throughput.
Mounted with Edge Enhancement Function (AIP)
The Edge Enhancement function mounted also on higher models of the ProSound series is equipped as standard. Intima images are enhanced for greater clarity; in musculoskeletal imaging, the periphery of the tissue is enhanced for clearer observation; and in breast imaging, lesions are finely depicted.
